SAFFORD — Fresh off the opening of a new headquarters, the Graham County Democratic Committee announced another protest against the Trump administration will take place this month.
The Good Trouble Lives On protest will take place Thursday, July 17, from 8-10 a.m., at the corner of U.S. Highway 70 and 20th Avenue in Safford.
The title is taken from a quote by the late civil rights advocate and Congressman John Lewis, “Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.”
Participants are asked to bring water, sunscreen and signs.
It will be the fifth protest in the Gila Valley since President Trump took the oath of office in January. The Graham County Democratic Committee previously organized local protests on April 5, April 19, May 1 and June 14.
