ASU to host reception for prospective students at EAC

THATCHER — Eastern Arizona College is pleased to host an Arizona State University reception at Eastern Arizona College on Feb. 3. The public and anyone interested in the EAC – ASU partnership is cordially invited to attend.

“This is an opportunity to learn more about the EAC-ASU partnership, gain a better understanding of ASU’s academic programs that are offered in the Gila Valley, and connect with faculty, staff and students,” said EAC academic counselor and EAC-ASU partnership coordinator at EAC, Kenny Smith.

The reception will be held  on the Thatcher Campus in the Galiuro Room of the Gherald L. Hoopes Jr. Activities Center on Friday, Feb. 3, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

The program agenda includes:

11:30 a.m.: Browsing, mingling, eating

Noon: Welcome

12:15 p.m.: Short overviews from ASU colleges

12:45 p.m.: Evan Crockett, Organizational Leadership graduate, May 2016

1 p.m.: Overview of services for ASU/EAC students

1:20 p.m.: Networking and mingling

“We’d love to see a record number of attendees at this reception,” Smith said. “The EAC-ASU program has developed into a very successful endeavor for both schools and subsequently for our students. We want everyone who is interested to find out how easy it is go get a ASU bachelor’s degree right here at EAC.”
