Trespassing leads to residence in jail

SAFFORD — A man believed to have been breaking into properties to take items that aren’t his — as well as leave behind items he brought to the property — was finally caught.

Safford Police were notified security footage recorded David Scott trespassing at a storage facility. The owner accused Scott of breaking into units and stealing items.

An officer searching for Scott finally spotted him, dragging things behind him as he entered yet another property.

While being taken into custody, Scott then allegedly started to complain about the city’s Street Department supervisor and make veiled threats.

Scott was booked into Graham County Jail on charges of second-degree trespassing.
