SAFFORD — Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center is helping protect kids in vehicles.

MGRMC is offering car seat safety classes once a month through the end of the year.

Arizona law requires all children 8 years old and younger, and under 4 feet 9 inches tall, to be in a safety seat when a vehicle is in motion. However, most new parents and care givers don’t know the proper way to secure the seat, putting the child at risk of injury.

Classes are June 21, July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 19, Oct. 10, and Nov. 7. Classes will take place in the hospital boardroom starting at 5 p.m.
