SAFFORD — With three days of results still to be reported, the Gila Valley is closing in on 5,000 cases since the start of the pandemic.
Graham County Health Department reported 24 new cases Thursday evening, bringing January’s total thus far to 1,644, and the total number since the start of the pandemic to 4,872.
Of Thursday’s cases, 17 were in the 85546 Zip Code, five in 85543 and two in 85552.
Sixteen of the new cases involved persons 20 to 44 years old, while five victims were 65 and older, two were under 20 and one was between the ages of 55 and 64.
Greenlee County
Greenlee County Health Department reported four new cases Thursday evening.
That brings the total number of new cases in January thus far to 107, and 522 since the start of the pandemic.
