THATCHER — Eastern Arizona College’s Youth Theatre will be auditioning children ages 11-16 for the Broadway Jr. “Singing in the Rain” on Tuesday, Dec. 12, and Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 4-5 p.m. in the Activities Center-Lee Little Theatre. Everyone will need to be registered at eventmaster.eac.edu and all fees paid before auditioning. Students should come prepared to sing a song, read a script, and take part in an improvisation session.
“Our performance of Singing in the Rain is a condensed version of the original Broadway show. It will be tons of fun to perform in,” said youth theatre director, Penny Whetten. “Come and join us for a great time.”
There is a $15 registration fee. Rehearsals will start Jan. 9 and performances for “Singing in the Rain” will commence Feb. 6-10.
