By Taryn Lamb

THATCHER — Eastern Arizona College and Cochise College will host two information sessions for students interested in entering the field of respiratory therapy on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at 3 p.m. and at 5:30 p.m., in the Nursing Education Center located on the College’s Thatcher Campus.

Respiratory care provides a wide range of therapeutic and diagnostic services to patients with heart and lung disorders. Respiratory therapists provide temporary relief to patients with chronic asthma, emergency care to victims of heart attacks, stroke, drowning or shock. They also treat trauma victims and surgery patients and provide rehabilitation services.

Academic advisors will be available to discuss the details of Cochise College’s concurrent Respiratory Therapy-Associate of Applied Science program for prospective students who are interested in obtaining this degree.

For more information about the information session contact Carolyn McCormies, EAC’s director of nursing, at (928) 428-8324 or by email at carolyn.mccormies@eac.edu.
