GRAHAM COUNTY – A woman had to be extricated from her truck Saturday morning after she veered off U.S. Highway 191 and crashed into a billboard near the area of the Graham County Fairgrounds.
According to a news release from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Vicki Lyn Stratton, 58, of Bisbee, was northbound in a gray, 2000 GMC pickup truck at about 10:20 a.m. when she drifted across the southbound lanes and collided with a billboard’s support pole.
Safford Fire arrived at the scene and extricated Stratton from the truck, which suffered severe front-end damage. She was then transported to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center by paramedics with Lifeline Ambulance, where she was treated for injuries sustained to her legs and released.
The truck was removed from the scene by Nuttall’s Towing.
No citations have been issued in the case as of yet, according to the DPS release.
