PERRIDOT — A barricade situation on the San Carlos Apache Reservation was resolved without serious injury.
San Carlos Apache Police responded to a domestic violence situation in the Peridot District at about 7 p.m. Monday , but the suspect — a non-tribal member — reportedly barricaded himself in the home and claimed to have a firearm.
After several hours of negotiation, officers deployed chemical agents into the home, causing the suspect to surrender without further incident.
The suspect, identified as Keith Morris, was booked into Gila County Jail on domestic violence-related charges.
