Nancy Ann Lemon, a resident of Safford, entered into rest on January 7, 2019, with her beloved husband and kids by her side. Nancy was 72.
Nancy was born in Waukegan, Illinois, on June 19, 1946 to George and June Chamberlain. When she was just one year old, the family moved to Double Adobe, Arizona. Nancy would spend her childhood there and later met the love of her life, Ed Lemon.
Nancy and Ed were married 52 years and spent six wonderful years together before having two children; Jody Rae Casillas and Tel Edward Lemon. Nancy enjoyed many things throughout their 52 years of marriage including trail riding, barrel racing, roping, she played softball and loved having her own motorcycle. She built dune buggies, raced stock cars, drove mud bogs and rides on her 4-wheeler.
Nancy really loved helping her husband, Ed, fix up old cars and entering them in car shows. She loved the outdoors, camping and fishing, but she really had a great love for her many grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ed Lemon, Nancy is survived by: her daughter, Jody Casillas (Pete); her son, Tel Lemon (Kris); and many grandchildren and step-grandchildren; her sister, Marge; and numerous sisters and brothers in law as well as nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by: her parents, George and June Chamberlain; as well as her father in law, Keith Lemon and Joanne Lemon; a nephew, David; and a niece, Krista.
Private family services for Nancy will be conducted at a later date.
