Lorraine Ellen Peters

Lorraine Ellen Peters, or Lori as she was known by all, a resident of Safford, peacefully entered into eternal life Friday morning, June 1, 2018, at her residence. Lori was 62.

Lori was born June 20, 1955, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Frances Hinds and Ronald Pugsley. She grew up in Ohio and some years later relocated to Tucson in 1977. In 1985, Lori met Robert Peters. Together they made their home in Safford. Some years later Lori obtained work as a food service supervisor, providing services to the Arizona Department of Corrections.

Lori loved her family and was grateful for her two sons. She truly loved her family and enjoyed photographing every moment with them. When entering her home, it was very evident as one could take in the photographs proudly displayed throughout. Beloved by her family, she will be dearly missed but remembered as they try to pattern their lives in love after her example. Lori was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lori leaves behind: her two sons, Joshua Peters (Erin) and Christopher Sanchez; her father, Ronald F. Pugsley (Ann); four sisters, Elain Mendez (Michael), Dolores Pugsley, Roxanne McIntyre (Randy) and Ann Ford; a granddaughter, Hailey May Peters; and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Lori was predeceased by: her mother, France Donahue; her step-father, Richard Donahue; and a sister, Elizabeth Ridley.

A Celebration of Lori’s Life will be conducted in the fall of 2018. Complete dates and times of services will be announced at a later date.
