Flu on the rise in Graham County

PHOENIX — The number of flu cases in Graham County this season is already almost double those of all of last season.

Arizona Department of Health Services reports 19 cases of influenza as of Nov. 18. The 2020-21 season ended with just 10 cases of flu in Graham County.

Three of this season’s cases were confirmed Oct. 10, one Oct. 17, 10 Oct. 24 and five Oct. 31. Seventeen cases are Influenza A, one is Influenza B and one is unknown at this time.

Greenlee County has seen just one case of flu so far this season, a case of Influenza B confirmed Oct. 24.

Statewide, there have been 175 cases, 14 percent of all of last season’s total of 1,196.
