PEARCE — Two law enforcement agencies are investigating a pair of deaths in the Pearce area.
Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the circumstances surrounding a vehicle striking pedestrian on State Route 181 on Sept. 3.
During that investigation, a trooper was contacted by a witness to inform him of a person that appeared dead in the front yard of a residence on Shepherd Hills Road.
DPS turned the investigation over to Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Willcox Police, who confirmed the deceased was a 58-year-old woman.
Cochise County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement that investigation is ongoing and identification is pending notification of next-of-kin.
