THATCHER — Eastern Arizona College’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hosting “Build Your Free Website with Google” on Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m.–Noon, in the EAC High Tech Center, Room #116. There will be a registration fee of $20 per person for the workshop.

“Google’s national program called ‘Build Your Free Website with Google and StartLogic’ allows small businesses to reserve a domain name and create a website, all for free,” said SBDC director, Kevin Peck. “In addition, through this program, Google provides your domain name and hosting free for the first year. This program will allow any business owner to have a nice, user-friendly website that they control, to help guide potential customers to their storefront.”

Build Your Free Website with Google will take attendees through the process of selecting a web design, customizing web pages and choosing a domain name (website address). The workshop will explain why a website is essential for business success, and give step-by-step instructions on how to create that online presence.
