Donating reduces state taxes owed

SAFFORD — Qualifying area nonprofit organizations are accepting donations, and those donation can reduce donors’ state tax liability.

Donations made now through April 15 will qualify for a dollar-for-dollar credit toward Arizona tax. Individuals may donate up to $400, and couples filing jointly qualify for up to $800.

This year’s Graham Greenlee Tax Credit Coalition of nonprofit organizations include: the Boys and Girls Club of the Gila Valley, Canyonlands Healthcare, CHAP Ministries, Graham County Rehabilitation Center, Graham County Substance Abuse Coalition, Mt. Graham Safe House, Our Neighbor’s Farm & Pantry, SEACUS and Tooth B.U.D.D.S.
