Clean-ups of the San Carlos and Gila rivers for Earth Day

SAN CARLOS — The San Carlos Apache Tribe announced three days of activities for this year’s Earth Day.

On Tuesday, a San Carlos River cleanup will take place at 7 a.m., followed by a fun run/walk starting from the Bylas Fitness Center at 6 p.m.

On Wednesday, the Earth Day Education Expo will take place at the Forestry Compound, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Finally, on Thursday, starting at 7 a.m., there will be a Gila River cleanup, followed by a fun run/walk starting at Burdette Hall at 6 p.m.

T-shirts will be given to the first 50 to sign-up for the fun runs and walks.
