SAFFORD — Cherish Lazarus has been named the executive assistant to the Safford City Manager.
In the announcement, it’s stated that Lazarus will work with media and “assisting with future communications, information and posts from the City Manager’s Office.”
Lazarus had previously served as executive assistant to the Safford Chief of Police.
Meanwhile, two department head positions remain open at the City of Safford — Finance officer and Human Resources officer.
Both positions were listed as open on Aug. 27. Salary range for Finance officer is $108,160-$160,742.40, while the salary range for Human Resources officer is $93,600-$139,089.60.
Troy Bingham previously served as Finance director and Danielle Nelson previously served as Human Resources director.
