BYLAS – Snow has caused several accidents on Highway 70 between Bylas and San Carlos and the road has been closed until further notice, according to a statement by tribal council chairman, Terry Rambler. Rambler posted a notice on his Facebook page at about 7:00 am this morning.
Two semis lost control and are blocking the highway. ADOT has been notified and will send snow plows when available. Due to the amount of snow falling across the state, ADOT snow plows are already engaged elsewhere and it may be a while before they can get to the accident scene.
Due to the snow, chairman Rambler, gave tribal employees the day off and rescheduled a council meeting to tomorrow.
