The Thatcher VFWAuxiliary and the SE AZ Sew and Sews are hosting a Community Sew day to work on quilts for the Project Linus Snowball Express this project is part of the Gary Sinise Foundation.
The blankets and quilts are given to children of fallen soldiers and first responders. This is a worthy cause, and we could use all of the community’s help we can get to supply the 30 that we have committed to.
This will be held at the VFW post, 3481 W. 8th Street, Thatcher, on Saturday July 18th from 9am – 3pm. Come for all day or a few hours.
You don’t need to know how to sew to come – bring your hands we will find something for them to do to help with this worthy project. We need crocheters, ironers, etc. Or if you have any already made unused quilts or blankets 45×60 or larger that you would like to donate we would be happy to get them.
