Briscoe’s Impala named Best of Show at SalsaFest

SAFFORD — The man behind the Cruizin’ Main events in Safford’s Downtown showed he really knows his cars.

Ryan Briscoe, owner of Briscoe’s Tattoo Shop, took home the Best in Show trophy for his 1964 Chevrolet Impala at the Safford Lions Foundation Car Show at the 19th annual NatureSweet SalsaFest on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The other big winner was Frank Marquez, who received two awards — one for his 2025 GMC 3500 Single Cab and the other for his 1979 Chevrolet C10.

  • Ramon Jurado — 1995 Lincoln Town Car
  • Nick Wilson — 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HD
  • William Crum — 2001 Ram 2500 Cummins
  • Anthony Vellescas — 2008 Chevrolet Duramax
  • Teagun Walker — 2011 Ford F350
  • Moe Villalba — 1966 Chevrolet Impala
  • Steven Garcia — 1979 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
  • Mike Rhodes — 1934 Ford Truck

In addition to the cars and trucks, the best bicycle was also presented with an award. Hottes Bike went to Peter Lujan for his Hollywood Schwinn.
