SAFFORD — For the second time this year, the Safford City-Graham County Library is serving as a hub to help Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry.

Patrons can help the library’s Hygiene Drive, which will provide items to those served by Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry.

Needed items include:

  • Toothbrushes and tooth paste
  • Small shampoos and conditioners
  • Soap
  • Combs
  • Deodorant
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Nail clippers

Bonnie Dalzine, executive director for Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry, said the nonprofit served 9,558 residents in 2024.

“That varied anywhere from grandparents raising their grandchildren to veterans to families that are seriously struggling right now in our economy,” Dalzine said.

In June, the library held a food drive for Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry, and collected 289 pounds of nonperishable food items that were distributed to Gila Valley residents dealing with food insecurity.

Items for the Hygiene Drive can be dropped off at the Safford Library’s front desk during normal operating hours, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
