CLIFTON — The Town of Clifton is seeking applications for a vacant Town Council seat.
The seat was made vacant following the passing of Emily Munoz, 42, on Nov. 11. Munoz was elected to the Town Council in the July Primary, receiving 25.47 percent of the vote, but died before she was sworn in.
Letters of interest to serve on the council are being accepted by the town now through Jan. 30. To be eligible, candidates must be a registered voter and citizen of Clifton. The term will expire in 2028.
Letters may be hand-delivered at Town hall, 510 N. Coronado Blvd.; mailed to P.O. Box 1415, Clifton, 85533; or e-mailed to townclerk@cliftonaz.gov.
The Town Council will make a selection from the pool of applicants at a future meeting.
