Winners announced in 2024 Holiday Light Parade

SAFFORD — On Monday, the Safford Downtown Association announced the winners of the 27th annual Country Financial Holiday Light Parade.

Each winner will receive a check at a special presentation Jan. 6, at the Safford City Annex. Winners have the option of keeping the money or donating it to an area nonprofit organization.

The winners are:

Family and Friends — The Metcalf Farm

Metcalf Farm took first place in the Family and Friends category.

Church — The Way World Outreach

In the Church category, the winner was The Way World Outreach.

School — Triumphant Learning Center

Triumphant Learning Center received the most votes from the judges in the School category.

Small Business — Airborne Play, LLC

The Small Business category winner was Airborne Play.

Large Business — Graham County Electric

Making snow might have been the edge that gave Graham County Electric Cooperative the win in the Large Business category.

Nonprofit — Graham County Search and Rescue

Graham County Search and Rescue was the Nonprofit category winner in this year’s parade.

Government — Graham County

Judges for the parade were Tim Linden, owner of Linden Distributing; Jaime Embick, director of Planning and Community Development for the City of Safford; Torey Cranford, business analyst for the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College; Bob Rivera, board member for United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties; and Luke Arbizo, Safford City Councilman.

The Holiday Light Parade was sponsored by Country Financial, Kempton Chevrolet, CMI, The Safford Downtown Association, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Safford.
