David Fabian Falcon

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David Fabian Falcon. Such a loving husband, father and grandfather. David was born May 14, 1947, to Margit Maria Fabian and Felix Chavarria Falcon in Munich, Germany. In 1948, David’s parents moved to Beville, Texas. It was there that they made their home. In 1949, they made San Antonio their final home. Here, three more children expanded the family; Maggie, Mary Lou, and Felix Jr, a.k.a “Bugs”.

In 1966, Dave joined the U.S. Army. He served three years in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1969. Dave found work with Phelps Dodge in Morenci, Arizona. It was here that Dave met Yolanda Aguilar. They were soon married on October 31, 1970. They were blessed with two children: Richard and Joseph. In 1982, Dave and Yolie were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple and had their children sealed to them for eternity.

In 1996, Joseph had a tragic vehicular accident. They eventually moved to Sierra Vista after Dave retired from Phelps Dodge. He put 30+ years as a supervisor over the automotive division. There they wanted to be closer to Richard, his wife Genevieve, and their three boys, Aiden, Jacob, and Rodrick. Dave and Yolie dearly loved their family in Sierra Vista, especially doting on the grandkids. Their final move was to Thatcher, Arizona so they could be close to their best friends, Gary and Christine Gale. When Covid hit in 2020, Yolie passed away. In 2021 Gary passed away also. They all made a promise to take care of each other, so in 2022 Dave and Christine were married. Dave was such an affectionate, loving person. He will never be forgotten.

Dave is preceded in death by: his parents, his son, Joseph and wife, Yolie.

He leaves behind; his son, Richard (Genevieve); grandsons, Aiden, Jacob, Rodrick; his wife, Christine; stepson, Ryan Gale; step daughter, Cheryl Carrasco; his siblings, Felix Jr, Mary Lou (Harry) Noyse, Maggie Rodriguez, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Davie will always be cherished and loved within our hearts.

A memorial service for Dave will be conducted Friday, August 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Vining Funeral Home’s “Chapel of the Valley”. Concluding services will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Morenci, Arizona.
