NHTSA Deputy Administrator Urges Consumers to Check for Recalls

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that Honda is recalling 1.1 million Honda and Acura vehicles in the United States that received a defective driver’s airbag either as a permanent Takata airbag recall replacement or as a service part installed following a crash or problem with the airbag itself.

There may be recalls that vehicle owners are not aware of. Vehicle owners can quickly search for open recalls by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at www.nhtsa.dot.gov/recalls.

NHTSA Deputy Administer Heidi King urges everyone to check their Vehicle Identification Number to see if your airbag is defective and needs to be replaced.
