Alvie “Cubby” Nottingham, Jr., was called home to be with our Heavenly Father, March 3, 2019, at his home in Tucson, with his loving wife, Mary, by his side. Cubby was 80.
Cubby was a lifelong resident of the Gila Valley prior to relocating to Tucson. During his life, Cubby could often be found at the rodeo arena enjoying his passion of competitive roping. Cubby was devoted to his family and enjoyed attending their sporting events and family gatherings.
Cubby is survived by: his wife, Mary; daughters, Samantha (Justin) Sipe, Denise (Mike) Eaton, Julie Forgach; sons, Kenneth Nottingham, David (Bettina) Nottingham, Greg (Brenda) Nottingham, Don (Tom) Nottingham and Ernie (Kelly) Montez; grandchildren, Justus, Jared, Kelsey, Shelbey, Lyndsey, Brianna, Shari, Devan, Caitlyn, Kristi, Brandon, Justin, Joshua, Jordan, Corrina, Samuel, Anthony, Ronald and Kyle; and his sister, Linda (Brian) McClain.
Cubby was preceded in death by: his parents, Alvie and Dora; his brother, Marion; and sister, June.
Funeral services for Cubby will be conducted Monday, March 11, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pima Stake Center. Concluding services will follow in the Pima Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Sunday evening, March 10, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the Vining Funeral Home and Monday morning, March 11, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pima Stake Center Relief Society Room.
