Yolanda (Mendoza) Carrasco, 78, entered eternal rest peacefully the morning of February 23, 2023, in Morenci, Arizona, surrounded by her family.
Yolanda was born in Tucson, Arizona, on August 25, 1944. She was the oldest of five. She graduated from Tucson high and went on to be a cosmetologist and eventually owned her own salon. She loved music and dancing. She was a strong believer in her Catholic faith. Yolanda was a huge fan of high school sports, specifically Morenci wrestling and was always the loudest in the stands.
Yolanda lived to serve other people. She had room in her heart for everyone. Her home was open to all, if you walked in a stranger, you left as family.
She is reunited with her beloved husband Ernest M. Carrasco and is survived by: her kids, Ernie Carrasco, Melinda Carrasco, Robert (Erica) Carrasco, Stephenie (Chris) Vega, Adrian (Kelly) Carrasco, David (Sandy) Carrasco; grandkids, Michael (Cecilia), Joseph, Sara, Jacob, Jason, Nerih, Eric, Ramiro, Jazmyn (Marcus), Celeste, Ondrayah, Maliyah, Nicolas, Allyssa, Trevor, Erniesa, Hannah, Angel, Kaylah, McKenzie; great-grandkids, Zoey, Dezari, Emanuel, Emma, Joseph Jr, Millie, Roman.
She is forever in our hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Yolanda will be celebrated Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morenci, by Rev. Nathaniel Mma.
A rosary and prayers will be offered Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning, March 4, 2023, at 8:00 a.m., also at the church.
There will be a luncheon following the Mass, in Clifton, at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
