SAFFORD — Motorists traveling 14th Avenue, south of Safford High School, should plan for extra travel time Monday and Tuesday.

The City of Safford announced Monday morning that traffic on 14th Avenue, between Relation and 20th streets, will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic May 8-9, while crews conduct asphalt patching.

The work is needed following the installation of the reclaimed water line running from the city’s wastewater treatment plant to Graham County Fairgrounds for irrigation.

Travelers are advised to seek alternate routes if possible.
