PHOENIX — Visitation to Arizona’s state parks was down 17.2 percent in December, and finished the year 8.4 percent down from 2024.
That’s according to data released by the Arizona Office of Tourism.
Only two state parks — Lake Havasu and Lost Dutchman — did not experience a double-digit decline in December, with both at a drop of 5.1 percent.
Roper Lake and Dankworth Pond State Parks experienced a 23.7 percent decline from December 2024.
For all of 2025, Roper and Dankworth recorded 58,639 visitors, a drop of 18 percent from 2024.
