On March 28, 2024, Virginia Ornelas Romero passed into eternal peace, with her two daughters at her side. She was a beloved mother, grandmother & great-grandmother.
Virginia was born on July 5, 1938, in Solomon, Arizona to Severo & Francisca Ornelas. She had 4 sisters and 1 brother. She has 2 daughters, Robyn Richards (Martin) of Tucson, and Kelly Liska (John) of Oracle. She had 3 granddaughters, Amber Brizuela, Michole Cobos & Brandi Valenzuela; 2 grandsons, Mario Somoza and Christopher Somoza; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Virginia is preceded in death by: her husband of 33 years, Gerson Romero; sister, Jessie Rodriguez; father, Severo Ornelas; mother, Francisca Ornelas.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia was celebrated Friday, April 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Solomon by Rev. Nicodemus Shaghel. Committal followed in the Safford Cemetery.
A rosary and offering of prayers were Friday, April 12, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., also at the church in Solomon.
