SAFFORD — Two more people have died as a result of COVID-19.
Graham County Health Department announced the deaths Tuesday. One victim was a resident on the San Carlos Apache Reservation and the other a resident over the age of 65 in Safford.
That brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Graham County to 31, with a 2.4 percent mortality rate.
Graham County also saw 24 new cases Tuesday, with 14 on the San Carlos Apache Reservation, seven in Safford, two in Pima and one in Thatcher.
That brings Graham County’s total to 1,307, with 420 cases considered active. Graham County has a positivity rate of 18.2 percent.
Greenlee County Health Department announced three new cases late Monday evening.
That brings Greenlee County’s total to 106, with 44 of the cases considered active and two deaths.
Greenlee County has a positivity rate of 9.5 percent.
