PERIDOT — Wildland fire crews have been able to keep the Toyo fire, on the western edge of Graham County, at just under 1,800 acres.

On Monday, crews were able to secure the perimeter and containment is at 38 percent.

“Most of the fire perimeter still has fire folks around it, so we ask the community stay out of the Hollywood Bowl Tank area,” said John Cevantes, Planning Ops trainee with the Southwest Area Incident Management Team.

There are no road closures still effect and all evacuation levels have been lifted.

There are 260 personnel assigned to the fire, including: six crews, 11 engines, three helicopters and two water tenders.

The fire started May 10 and cause remains under investigation.
