Reay fire at 20 percent containment

CENTRAL — The Reay fire along the Gila River has grown to more than 600 acres.

According to Bureau of Land Management Arizona Fire Management, the fire is at 635 acres as of 10 a.m. Tuesday, with 20-percent containment.

Firefighters are working on strengthening containment lines and no structures are threatened. However, smoke will likely be visible throughout the Gila Valley.

Fighting the fire is one hotshot crew, one state Type 2 crew, and four engines.

Cause is under investigation.
