PHOENIX — The number of flu cases in Graham County in the 2021-22 flu season continues to climb, already at three times more than all of last season.
Arizona Department of Health Services reports 33 cases of influenza as of Dec. 19. The 2020-21 flu season ended with just 10 cases of flu in Graham County.
Three of this season’s cases were confirmed Oct. 10, one Oct. 17, 10 Oct. 24, four Oct. 31, one Nov. 21 and 14 Dec. 12.
Twenty-nine cases are Influenza A, one is Influenza B and three are unknown at this time.
Greenlee County has seen 12 cases of flu so far this season, a case of Influenza B confirmed Oct. 24 and 11 cases of Influenza A confirmed the week of Dec. 12.
Statewide, there have been 1,302 cases of flu so far this season, about 9 percent more than of all of last season’s total of 1,196.
