THATCHER — Auditions for Eastern Arizona College’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be held Jan. 16-18. Children’s auditions (ages 7-12) will meet Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m., in the EAC Fine Arts Auditorium. Adult auditions will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m., in the EAC Choir Room. Callbacks are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m., in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

Children’s auditions will consist of a dance workshop (group) and a simple vocal audition. Children are encouraged to try to memorize the chorus of “Go, Go, Go Joseph” before arrival. Directors will teach choreography and music at the audition.

Adult auditioners are encouraged to try to prepare a musical theatre selection of 24-36 bars in the preferred key.

“This familiar story offers acting and singing opportunities for performers of all ages. We hope to have a wonderful response from our community for the auditions of Joseph,” said the director of musical theatre, Chase Moore. “This is such an inspiring, family-friendly production, and we are looking forward to sharing this amazing experience with the community.”

The performances of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be April 3-7, at 7:30 p.m., in EAC’s Fine Arts Auditorium. The directors encourage all interested actors to come and audition. Contact Moore with any questions at (928) 428-8467 or chase.moore@eac.edu.
