THATCHER — A vodka distillery teamed with the Thatcher Police Department to help the Gila Valley.
In a press release issued Monday, Chief Shaffen Woods said Tito’s Handmade Vodka Company offered to donate to his department 144 gallons of hand cleanser. Thatcher Police, in turn, distributed the cleanser to clinics, health-care providers, school districts, public safety organizations, public offices and businesses throughout Graham and Greenlee counties.
“We know how difficult it has been to get hand cleanser or sanitizer locally, and this was a great opportunity to share a little with our community,” Woods said.
