THATCHER — A barricade incident in Thatcher ended without incident Wednesday.
Thatcher Police responded to the home in the area of Kimball and Hoopes in Daley Estates, after a man was reported to be intoxicated and making suicidal comments. Officers found the man — who was known to have a multiple firearms — barricaded in his shed behind the house.
After about an hour, officers convinced the man to exit the shed and he was secured without incident.
The man was then transported to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center where he was treated for injuries from a bicycle accident prior to the stand-off and evaluated by mental health professionals.
