THATCHER — The Graham County Democratic Committee is bringing back the Rose Mofford Dinner.
The dinner will be held Friday, July 24, at VFW Post 10385 in Thatcher. A no-host bar will be open from 5-6 p.m., followed by a dinner of Mexican cuisine and speakers from 6-8 p.m.

David Fitzsimmons, the retired cartoonist and columnist for the Arizona Daily Star newspaper, will serve as the master of ceremonies, while the featured speaker will be Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, who is seeking re-election this year.
The dinner serves as a chance for local, statewide and federal candidates to speak with voters; and as a fund-raiser for the Graham County Democratic Committee. It was last held in 2023, and the featured speaker was then-Congressman Ruben Gallego, who went on to win the seat for U.S. Senate in 2024.
The dinner is named for Arizona’s first female governor, who served from 1977 to 1988, and was a resident of Globe.
