THATCHER — Only a few days remain to nominate a family for Double R Communications/Velocity Builders Operation Secret Santa.
Operation Secret Santa takes donations from Gila Valley businesses and distributes them to families that could use some help during the holidays.
“What you do is register a family that you think might need this stuff,” said Double R Communications owner Reed Richins. “All of it is amazing, and it’s stuff that families might need.”
Gifts for Operation Secret Santa this year are:
- $250 to two families from American Southwest Credit Union
- A heating system from Advanced Air
- A set of four tires from Haralson Tire Pros and Auto Service
- A $250 gift card to Carter’s Custom Cuts from Maverick Motorsports and a freezer from Valley Furniture and Appliance
- A $250 gift card to Thriftee Supermarket from Trek RV and Outdoor
- A meat box from Carter’s Custom Cuts and a freezer from Valley Furniture and Appliance
- A $500 gift card to Thriftee Supermarket from Tyson Richins and Edward Jones
- $500 from Keyhole Properties
- A dental cleaning and exam for a family of four from Palmer and Johnson Family Dental

Families can also show off their home’s holiday decorations by registering for the Light Up the Gila Valley 2024 Holiday Light Map.
Sponsored by Graham County Electrical Cooperative, Ice King and Double R Communications, the top 10 displays will each be awarded a $100 Visa gift card.
