SAFFORD — Southeastern Arizona Community Unique Services and Southeastern Arizona Governments Organization are looking for the top seniors in the community.

To celebrate Older Americans Month in May, SEACUS and SEAGO are accepting nominations of Senior Heroes.

“Maybe someone that is super involved in different organizations, or volunteers their time,” said Stephanie Nabor, executive director for SEACUS. “They don’t have to meet specific criteria; it’s just somebody they view as their hero.”

Those selected will be celebrated with an award, a goodie bag and a luncheon in their honor at the Senior Centers in Safford, Clifton and Duncan on Thursday, May 7, from 10-11:30 a.m.

Nominees must be 60 or older and nominations will be accepted through March 29. Click here to nominate.
