PHOENIX — This year’s state Christmas tree is coming from the San Carlos Apache Reservation.

The tree was selected by the Arizona Governor’s Director of Indian Affairs, and will be harvested by the San Carlos Apache Forest Resources Program and the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management on Friday, Nov. 22.

The tree will be transported to Phoenix and displayed at the state Capitol, starting with the governor’s lighting ceremony the first week of December.
