Safford Library celebrating local history

SAFFORD — The Safford City-Graham County Library is preserving more than books — it’s preserving local history.

Library officials are reaching out to the public for family photographs, recipes and more than paints a picture of early life in the Gila Valley.

The Library is also recording oral histories of the area and families.

The stories will be posted to the Library’s biblioboard, which can be seen by clicking here.

To schedule an appointment to record an oral history, or to get help with digitize family photos and other historical documents, call the Library at 928-432-4165.
