SalsaFest Challenge on the Salsa Trail

SAFFORD — With the Gila Valley’s largest event — SalsaFest — delayed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce is rolling out a new strategy to keep people in the salsa spirit.

“Not all is lost with SalsaFest. We’re having SalsaFest at the restaurants this year,” said Vance Bryce, executive director of the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, during a recent appearance on Voice of the Valley.

“So what we’re going to do is the SalsaFest Challenge. What that is you go to all the Salsa Trail restaurants and earn a T-shirt that says, ‘I ate my way through COVID-19 — SalsaFest Challenge 2020.’ ”

The event kicked off Monday at Meg’s Place in Fort Thomas and Manor House in Safford.

The list of restaurants that make up the Salsa Trail is located at https://www.grahamchamber.org/world-famous-salsa-trail.html
