THATCHER —Chelsi Williams thought her chances to win more than $1,000 worth of gift certificates to area businesses and restaurants were “very slim.”
Yet win she did in the Kat Kountry 94.5 Facebook give-away Friday.
Her name was announced as the winner on the Reed Richins Show Friday morning.
“I didn’t hear it. I just had clocked in at work and my co-worker told me,” Williams said, adding that her first thought was, “No way. And then my friend texted me and all my other co-workers told me, too.”
Richins, owner of Double R Communications, purchased nearly $1,000 of the Invest in Safford Gift Certificate program certificates, and was able to secure $200 in $20 vouchers from the Town of Thatcher and $250 worth of gift certificates for businesses in Pima.
Williams said her first stop with her handful of gift certificates will be Kainoa’s Hawaiian Grill in Thatcher.
