SAFFORD — Nominations are now being accepted for families who might be able to use a little help this holiday season.

Safford Police are taking nominations of families with children 0-18 years old for inclusion on this year’s Angel Tree.

Nominees will be asked to provide a list of items the child wants and items the child needs. Requested items should have a value of no more than $50. All nominated children must live in the Gila Valley and, if the child is 18, the child must be attending high school.

Nominations will be accepted through Nov. 1 Click here to nominate.

Once the children have been selected for inclusion, members of the community may select children from the Angel Tree located in the lobby of the Safford Police Station, and purchase items for the child.

Items are then to be brought to the Safford Police Station for delivery  before Christmas.
