Graham County Sheriff’s Office Reports 13 Incidents

The Graham County Sheriff’s Office responded to 13 incidents between Oct. 1 and the early morning hours of Oct. 2, according to the latest incident report.

Among the calls was a traffic stop in Pima involving a vehicle connected to a missing-person alert. Deputies located the vehicle on U.S. Highway 70 and requested a mental-health evaluation for the person involved. The alert was changed from a missing-person notification to a traffic stop, and EMS was later dispatched.

Deputies also responded to a fire complaint on North Bryce Eden Road after a resident reported that a neighbor appeared to be burning tires and plastic near a fence. The caller said smoke was entering the home and causing difficulty breathing. Fire and law-enforcement personnel were dispatched.

An animal welfare complaint was reported near South Barney Lane and East High Mesa Road involving a tan or brown dog described as emaciated, weak and skittish. The dog would not allow the reporting party to approach.

Deputies investigated a threatening complaint along U.S. Highway 191 after a caller reported that a man was allegedly building something intended to harm him and his son. The report indicated the individual was possibly on probation.

A welfare check in the Fort Thomas area involved a report of an argument between two people. The caller reported hearing what sounded like an assault during a phone conversation, although the person at the residence later called 911 and said she was fine and alone.

Deputies also investigated missing trash cans reported on South Coleman Lane. The report said the trash cans had apparently been taken sometime between the previous day and Oct. 1. The call was subsequently classified as suspicious activity.

A domestic violence call on Thorn Lane involved a report that one family member threw another person to the ground, causing a neck injury. The report indicated the suspect was initially inside the residence and later came outside and reportedly chased the other person down the street.

Late Thursday night, deputies responded to a juvenile-related complaint on East Powerline Road after a resident reported returning home to find a door open and several items missing. The incident was initially classified as a possible burglary but was later changed to a juvenile-problem call.

The report also included an agency assist involving a Ford F-150, a citizen dispute over access to property, a wanted-person call and a traffic stop.
