Safford Library Storytimes return Aug. 19

SAFFORD — There’s still one more week to go before Storytimes resume at the Safford City-Graham County Library.

“Miss Elizabeth and Miss Cami are working their magic in getting the Early Literacy room reset, and they’ll come back with their fall lineup on (Aug.) 19,” said Library Supervisor Leslie Talley.

Storytimes will resume their normal schedules when the programs resume, with Babytime (ages 0-2) on Mondays at 10 a.m., Toddler Time (ages 2-3) on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and Preschool Storytime (ages 4-5) Thursdays at 10 a.m.

There is also Open Play on Tuesday at 10 a.m., for children 0-5.

Friday, Aug. 22, from 5-6:30 p.m., Bingo for Books will kick-off the Library’s fall programming.

“That’s geared, really, for school-aged kids and their families,” Talley said. “We play bingo, (and) you take home books and reading buddies, until we run out of books and reading buddies.”

Reading buddies are stuffed animals to whom children can read their books.

The Safford Library is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
