Safford Library seeking art to display

SAFFORD — The Safford City-Graham County Library has put out the call for local artists who would like to have their work displayed in the library.

The opportunity is open to both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artists who work in any type of medium, including:

  • Acrylic
  • Airbrush
  • Charcoal
  • Color pencil
  • Digital art
  • Digital photography
  • Ceramics
  • Fiber arts
  • Graphite
  • Mixed media
  • Oils
  • Pastels
  • Pen and ink
  • Photo assemblage
  • Small sculpture
  • Traditional photography
  • Watercolors

Art selected will be displayed in the library for one month. Click here to submit a proposal for exhibit.

The library is also accepting proposals from artists for a mural on a 628-square-foot exterior wall. The mural is to be “library themed.”

Deadline to submit a concept for the mural and a portfolio of work is April 23.

The city has budgeted up to $40,000 for the mural project.
