Safford announces Independence Day Parade winners

SAFFORD — Winners were named in the 2022 Gila Valley Fourth of July Parade.

● Most Patriotic — Pepsi

● Most Creative — Michele Willson’s Farmer’s Insurance

● Best Performance — Gila All-Star Cheer

● Best Political — Lance Lines

● Most Beautiful — Arizona Department of Corrections

The grand marshal was Marge Schade, the owner of the local Pepsi bottling plant and Kaylie Windsor provided musical performances before the parade’s start.

The parade was sponsored by the Safford Lions Club, with support from Double R Communications; Mt. Graham Golf Course; Kempton Chevrolet; La Casita; El Coronado; La Paloma; Subway; and City of Safford departments Public Works, Streets and Police.
