SAFFORD — The Graham County Chamber of Commerce has exciting news about the upcoming Safford Spring Festival in April.

“Which is the 24th and 25th; we’re bringing Ryan Innes down for the concert on Saturday night,” said Vance Bryce, the chamber’s executive director. “I’m really excited to have him; he was on ‘The Voice’ and on a songwriting competition (Season 2, Episode 1 of ‘Songland’).”

The Safford Spring Festival is an art, history and wine event on the lawn in front of Safford’s City Hall.

In addition to Innes’ music, the art portion of the event will include a pop-up art gallery at The Venue on Main Street, a Dip & Sip activity where participants can paint an art piece with instruction, an opportunity to paint rocks and spray paint art demonstrations.

Wine tastings will be offered by Copper Horse Vineyard, Coronado Vineyards, Elgin Distillery, Elgin Winery, Laramita Cellars, Strive Vineyards and Sonoita Vineyards. There will also be the III Counties Distributing Beer Garden.

For history, the Safford Downtown Association and Graham County Historical Society will offer tours of the historic Safford Theater, which is nearing completion of its refurbishment.

There will also be food trucks and other vendors.

The event will take place over two days —Saturday, April 24, from noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday, April 25, from noon to 5 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear masks and practice physical distancing to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
